This is because church leaders need to lead others by example, pointing to Christ by the way we live.
The role is to shepherd the flock and equip believers for ministry. The mode is servanthood.


Lucas has served as Senior Pastor at CFC since 2007. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute (BA) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (MDiv, ThM) before focusing his doctoral work on the task of preaching (DMin, Gordon-Conwel; PhD, London School of Theology). He has traveled globally as an instructor and has served as a professor in homiletics at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. While the church is supportive of his work outside of the church, his primary passion is teaching and leading the congregation at CFC to grow in Christ. His first ministry is his wife Tina and their four children.

Ben grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, and now lives in Elk Grove Village with his wife Anna and daughter Phoebe. He initially moved to the Chicagoland area to attend Wheaton College, where he graduated with a degree in Music and Bible and Theology. Ben has been a member at CFC since March 2020, and serves on staff leading the worship and youth ministries. He is currently pursuing his MDiv at Covenant Baptist Theological Seminary.

Erin has had an exciting career as an entrepreneur, owning and running several successful businesses. He is currently president of a commercial print and direct mail, and packaging business in Mount Prospect. Erin serves CFC in multiple ways. He oversees the welcome team, helps lead Growth Groups, mentors and disciples men within the church, and fills in preaching as needed. His wife Beth co-leads the fellowship committee, helps with the women's ministry and is the team lead of the welcome team. They have 3 wonderful children, who range in age from high school to young adult.

Isa completed an MBA program at Rockford University in 2021 and currently works as a Marketing Specialist. Since joining CFC in September 2021, Isa has served as a Sunday school teacher, welcome team member, youth group assistant, and taught Sunday evening courses. Isa's passion is teaching and discipling, and he finds joy in seeing others grow in godliness and love for the Lord. Isa enjoys playing guitar, creative writing, and values getting to know people and their unique life experiences. As an Elder, Isa focuses on supporting the faith journey of the church family, ensuring accountability, care, and prayer, and cherishes working with the other Elders at CFC.

Andy was an elder at CFC for many years, and now currently serves as a deacon. He graduated from Northern Illinois University and works in IT as a software engineer. His father pastored CFC for over 30 years giving Andy a unique perspective on church life and ministry. He has served in various roles including Growth Group leader, mentor, Tech Team and currently oversees CFC's finances. His wife Christine serves on the Welcome and Hospitality Teams. Together they raise their three children in Elk Grove Village.

Nate grew up in Antioch, Illinois where after he finished high school, went right into the trades to pursue a career as an electrician. He's been a commercial/industrial electrician in the Chicagoland area for over 6 years and now resides in Elk Grove Village. Nate came to CFC in 2022, and he serves the church on the tech team, helping with the youth group, nursery, and leading growth group. He has a great passion and desire to be a servant for Christ in caring for others and meeting the needs of the church.
